We all know this kind of struggle: you just finished a sweaty and hard training, ready to take off your sportswear and jump into the shower. However, putting a drenched tight-fitting sports bra on your head is an exercise in itself. I like most compression sports bras because they make me feel firmly held and supported even during the toughest workouts, but I am afraid of having to take them off afterwards.
Fortunately, Athleta gave me an Advance Sprint sports bra ($30-69) for me to try. It changed the rules of the game. This bra has a buckle on the back, which allows you to easily get rid of sweaty sports bras. I have tried other buckle sports bras in the past, but they did not have enough compression or support to support me for high-intensity exercises.
The Advance Sprint sports bra is tight enough to hold my chest inside without feeling uncomfortable, and provides high, full coverage support. Because it fits better, I can wear it more easily on my head. The buckle is already hooked, then fix it in place, and then use the buckle to remove it after I finish my workout. I tried this bra through several HIIT bike training and Barry's (hello, burpees) double-layer training. I feel safe and always supported.
Another problem with sports bras is that they tend to have cleavage when I bend over to do things like leaning over rowing and deadlifting, but the neck of Advance Sprint bras is high enough, which is not a problem. I also like that these sizes are real bra sizes, ranging from 32B to 40DD, so it is easy to find a more suitable size.
If you are looking for a sports bra that can withstand high-intensity exercise and does not need to be a Jiu-Jitsu athlete, I recommend the Athleta Advance Sprint bra. Bonus: It also has beautiful lavender and beautiful olive color.
